Happy 11 Months!

Wow! Where do I begin? I am overwhelmed with LOVE for this little girl and today, as she turned 11 months old, she returned the love. I promise I got at least 10 minutes worth of kisses today. I measure it in minutes and not in numbers of kisses because a few of those kisses were about two minutes long. She plants one on me and makes this "ahhhh" noise as she is kissing me...and for two minutes she holds me tight and makes that noise as she slobbers all over my face. I LOVE IT!!! She is so sweet and lovable and I just want to hug her so tight that I hold her at this age and not let her grow anymore. If only it were that easy!

So at 11 months here is what is going on...
  • She has two bottom teeth that are a little more than half way out and two top teeth that are trying so hard to poke their way out.
  • We had some sleepless nights this past month due to teething, but since have recovered to sleeping about 10 hours straight. (from 9:30pm - 7:30am)
  • She still loves Sesame Street and gets so excited when I put it on, but also now loves Barney. She sings, dances and claps along...it's so stinking cute!
  • She will eat anything and everything you put in front of her! She loves food! (Num-numms)
  • We are down to two nursing times a day now (first thing in the morning and before bed). I have been working hard at slowly weening her, and believe me it's been hard. In the beginning breastfeeding seemed so hard and I never thought I would make it close to a year, but now I realize how easy it is to just nurse her. It is so convenient!!! She now eats three meals a day and at least two snacks.
  • She loves her "Juuuice" and will down the whole sippy cup!
  • She is still doing her skateboard crawl and is pulling up on everything and walking around furniture. She also walks all over the house with her little push car...I always tell her "Bye-bye, have fun shopping!"
  • She gets so excited when she sees any puppy...our puppies, one down the street, at the park or at my mom's house. She loves puppies!!!
  • I think she is trying to say puppies. I have heard her say pup-pup!
  • When she gets really excited either singing or laughing she automatically breaks into her "Indian" where she makes the Indian noise.
  • She loves looking out the windows at all the pretty flowers and birdies!
  • She gets so excited when I say "Let's go outside!"
  • She got some new shoes this month and loves when I tell her "Let's put on our shooooes!"
  • She will crawl across the house to the bathroom when she hears the bath water running and us say that it's "Bath time"
  • She loves music and loves to dance. She even dances to the Aggie Band!
  • She loves Aggie Football games!!!
Audrey, God Bless you baby...Mommy loves you so much!!!

We BTHO UAB!

Here are some pictures from our game this weekend against UAB. The Aggies won 56-19!!!

On the bus before the game

She kept waving at all the people walking by the bus...to bad the windows are tinted, so no one waved back.

After lunch she had fun playing peek-a-boo with Daddy's hat

We have not seen this in awhile...she had her hand backwards in her mouth chewing on her ring finger and pinky!

Audrey and Collin riding on their Daddy's shoulders to the game! So cute!!!

Audrey sitting with Iva and Collin...she even got a kiss from Collin, he is such a cutie!

Next week we are off to Dallas to see our Aggies play Arkansas! Wish us luck! Gig'em Ags!

A Wonderful Fall Moment

I love the Fall and today Audrey and I took a walk to the park and I had one of "those" moments. As we were swinging on the swings with the wind blowing, the clouds and the temperature in the low 70's, I felt so at peace where I just wanted to live in that moment forever. I could see myself in the future and pictured myself thinking back to this moment where things were so easy and simple...just me and Audrey at the park. So I painted a mental picture and vowed to remember it and cherish it.
I love you Audrey.

Aggies vs. Utah State

Saturday was game #2 for the 2009 season and Audrey had another awesome game. I really think she likes football...at least Fightin Texas Aggie Football!

We met my sister for lunch at Freebirds and Audrey chowed down on black beans and cheese. Num-numms! (This is what Audrey says when she is eating for yum-yum!)

Then we headed to the bus for a little tailgating. I have to admit Audrey spends more time on the bus than hanging out outside...she's no dummy the bus is air conditioned.
We walked to the stadium and made our way to our seats. We have great armchair seats in The Zone around a lot of our great friends. Audrey clapped and danced to the Fightin Texas Aggie Band every time they played and also stood with Mommy and Daddy and swayed to the Aggie War Hymn. She was so cute and made sure everyone saw just how cute she was by waving to everyone. There was a little 3 year old girl sitting in front of us who wanted to play with 'the baby' and even wanted to share her kettle corn with her. Audrey kept trying to grab at it so I had to pull out her Num-numms for her to eat...she has to eat if she sees other people snacking.
Looking out over campus from The Zone...the MSC looked so sad since it's closed for renovations.
Waiting for the flyover to go over so it's not too loud for Audrey

Clapping to the band

Yelling with Javier

A little before half time she got tired and started rubbing her eyes so I took her out to the ramps to walk her to sleep before she got fussy. It worked like a charm and she ended up sleeping through half-time and part of the third quarter and woke up ready to watch our Aggies beat the Utah State Aggies!

Asleep in my arms for a little snooze

Thank you Motrin!

Here is my not so happy camper yesterday. Poor baby!
We had a better night last night thanks to Susan and Allyson for the reminder that I needed to go and buy Motrin. I was going to do it a couple weeks ago when her bottom teeth were coming out, but we roughed through it. I guess the top ones hurt more...maybe? Anyway, yesterday was a rough day during the day and she really was not acting like herself. I gave her the Motrin last night before bed and she slept till 3am, woke up and was back to sleep by 3:30 and then slept till 7:00...thank goodness!!! This morning we are back to normal! Teething is soooo much fun! haha!

Please sit. Please lay down. Please sleep.

I know I'm spoiled and I really have no "real" reason to complain, but I just thought I would vent on here a little. I don't know if it is the teething or what, but my little great sleeper (she has been sleeping through the night since she was 3 weeks old) has now had a few back to back bad nights. We have a had a couple not so stellar nights here and there, but never back to back. She has figured out that if she stands in her bed and cries...I mean really screams...long enough, that Mommy will come walking through that door. I lay there in bed and watch her on the video monitor (so I know she is okay) but she just stands there and screams while watching the door. I sit there and pray that she will sit down and then eventually lay down and go back to sleep...but no luck. What to do???? She has always been good at soothing herself and going back to sleep, even when she would sit straight up and look around for awhile, but not from a stand. Hopefully tonight proves to be different.

First Aggie Game!!!

We had our first A&M game last Saturday and it was also Audrey's first tailgate and game...Good thing we won! Audrey really started clapping with purpose at the game. Everytime we would clap she would clap. She has been "clapping" for at least a month now, but at the game her hands contacted each other and really made sound. She is a LOUD clapper! Also, anytime the student side did a yell, she would stop and stare at them and then look up at me and smile. She is a little Aggie in the making! Hopefully our Ags are National Championship competitive by class 2031!!! (Oh my gosh...Is that right?)
She surprisingly was really good considering she is cutting four teeth and only got four hours sleep the night before. Bryan and I were contemplating not going to the game, but we decided to rough it out and it turned out to go really well. Here are some pics!

Audrey attacking Collin - this is the first time they have seen each other since Memorial Day
She fell asleep in Bryan's arms during the walk up the ramps to our seats. Aggie games are real LOUD and our little sleeper slept through all the opening things and woke up when we scored in the first quarter.

Our good friends Randy, Iva and of course Collin. Collin was really good at the game too. Iva brought plenty of stickers for him to play with, fortunatly he shared with Audrey and also covered all of our backs in stickers. Too cute!!

Sushi with friends!

We met Allyson and Abby for dinner last Thursday night at a local sushi restaurant. I have been craving sushi and it hit the spot! Abby and Audrey had their collection of cereal, noodles, and fruit and talked back and forth across the table. Audrey is a lot more interested in food than Abby, and every time Audrey ran out of food she would look across the table and yell at Abby because she still had cheerios in front of her. That's my little Food Monster for you!
We took a couple pictures as always...here they are. (Of course Audrey was looking up in one and Abby was looking up in the other!)
