Our baby is 6 months old!!!

Dear Audrey,

I can't believe that you are already 6 months old. I can't believe that it has already been 6 months since the day we went to the doctor for my week 38 check-up and they sent us over to Labor & Delivery. I can't believe that you have already brought so much love to us in just half a year.
There are so many things that I love about you...

I love how when I'm nursing you and your getting close to being done you throw your head back, arch your back, and hang upside down to look at the TV or whoever is around. I can already see it you are going to be that little girl that is always hanging upside down from the jungle gym!

I love how when I'm on the phone you reach for it and start to try to talk, but as soon as I put the phone to your ear you just smile and listen.

I love how when you wake up around six or seven you scream your little head off until we make it to our chair to nurse and you eat like you haven't eaten in days.

I love how you give me kisses. Some are really soft and sweet, and some are full of so much excitement. You grab my hair and pull me to you and plant a BIG one on my cheek.

I love how when I'm feeding you your cereal or baby food you sit there with your mouth wide open waiting for the next spoon. Like a little bird waiting for it's worm.

I love how when you see a dog you talk to it more than you talk to anyone and then you stick our hand out waiting for it to come and kiss you. I love how much you love your puppies, Millie and Sadie.

I love your squeaky high pitched voice.

I love how when you are sleepy or really in a loving mood you reach out to touch my face over and over again. Sometimes you grab my lips and pinch them closed like, "That's enough singing Mommy."

I love how when you are in your footed PJs with the little critters on your feet you sit there and grab at them like they are toys.

I love how when I'm feeding you baby food or cereal you look at me after your last bite and start to pout and then cry one big cry until you remember that you now get to go and wash your hands and face in the sink.

I love how you love to cuddle as much as I do. You are so loving!

I love how when you are playing with your play telephone and it rings and I tell you that it's for you, your face lights up.

I love how you love your exersaucer and how you use it as your Poopy Chair because almost every time I put you in it, you poop.

I love how you play stare games with Daddy. You sit there and stare at him until he looks at you and then you smile this flirtatious smile.

I love how you love it when I sing Old McDonald to you.

I love that silly face you make when you suck your bottom lip in.

I love how you rub your eyes when your tired. So sleepy!

I love how on the weekends you, me and Daddy all sleep in together and when we wake up you stretch one arm out to me and one arm out to Daddy and just keep looking back and forth between us...making sure we are both there with you.

It's amazing how much you have grown and I find myself in awe most of the time. Lately, at night after your last feeding when you fall asleep in my arms, your little body goes limp and your mouth opens I look down at you and just start getting teary eyed. You look so sweet and peaceful, but yet so much bigger and different than you did the night before. You change and grow everyday. I cry because I realize that when you wake up the next morning you are another day older, which is a great thing because you'll learn new things tomorrow and grow the way you should...but at the same time I know I'm going to miss you at this age. I know how precious these times are and I just want to soak it all in and never forget them. We are so blessed to have you as our daughter and we are so in love with you.

Happy Half Birthday and I Love You!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

Today is Bryan's 32nd Birthday!!! Here is a picture of Audrey hanging out watching the Astros with Daddy on the couch at Grandma Marcia and Grandpa Craig's house. She always loves her Daddy, but today she seemed to know that it was his birthday....all she wants is her Daddy!

Happy Birthday! We love you!!!

Also, since I have not posted in 2 weeks here are some pictures...

Last weekend we went to College Station for the Aggie Spring Football game. It rained all weekend, but being the Aggies that we are we headed up there anyway. We ended up skipping the game and "tailgating" at a friends house.

My sister is a freshman at A&M so Audrey and I went to Pei Wei to meet her for lunch. Audrey talked the whole time. I felt sorry for the people sitting next to us since Audrey's voice is a high shrill squeaky scream. They just smiled and told us it was music to their ears! haha!!

Last weekend we went to church and put Audrey in the nursery for the first time. Our church has a great nursery where there are almost always one adult per infant. Audrey is a "Lamb" which is the 5 to 6 month olds. It was a little weird for us to leave her, but we both really enjoyed the service and it's good for her too. She was asleep in one of the ladies arms when we went to pick her up. So cute!!! After church we went to my parents house. Here are some pictures from our little photo shoot.

(It was such a pretty day!)

Happy Easter!!!

We had a great Easter! The first thing we did was wake-up and go and look at Audrey's Easter basket that the Easter Bunny left her. He is such a smart bunny he filled her basket with all the toys that Audrey has been playing with at Gymboree class. (I will post later about our classes.) She loved playing with her new toys!

The day started out very gloomy and with light rain, but we got up early and did a last minute feeding before we headed out the door to church. It was a great service with a guest teaching Pastor who actually does the Breakaway service at A&M. I have such great memories of going to Breakaway when I was in college. Audrey looked so cute and really turned the charm on when people would stop and talk to her. She is such a social baby and loves people watching...just like her mommy! She stayed awake for all the praise singing, slept through the lesson and then woke up for the closing prayer. It was a great service! Here she is over Daddy's shoulder. (This is the only picture we took at church...sorry!)

We made it home ten minutes before the sky decided to fall. It was perfect timing! We were under Severe Thunderstorm Warning and a Tornado Watch. I think lightning hit somewhere in our neighborhood because it hit and then all the car alarms went off on our street! I'm glad we made it home in time. The storms moved fast, so we loaded up the car and headed to Bryan's mom's house. She hosted a great Easter Lunch where my parents and my brother Eric joined us. (My sister Lara had to go back to school a little early to start studying for a busy exam week...we missed you!) We had a lot of fun hanging out and watching The Masters. Here are some pictures...

As you can see the weather cleared up and it ended up being a beautiful day!

And now the Grandparents!

Audrey got some really cute Easter gifts...
She got this boat float from Mammo and Pappo for her to use this summer. It even has a canopy for my beautiful "white" baby!

Grandma Marcia and Grandpa Craig bought her these beautiful Easter books. The big Peter Rabbit book is an amazing pop-out book.
Aunt Arianne bought her this adorable ruffle outfit and a precious lovey!

We had a wonderful Easter and I'm so happy we got to spend it with family!

Pre Easter Fun!

Well today was Audrey's first Easter Egg Hunt! We left our house a little before 10am to walk to our neighborhood elementary school. The Egg Hunt was supposed to start at 10, but when we got there we heard that it actually was not going to start till 11:20. So we crossed the yellow tape into the "2 and under" area and did our little photo shoot. By the way....Audrey is now SITTING by herself! We ended up leaving before the actual egg hunt (not like she was really going to collect any eggs anyway.) It was really a good event, and I can't wait till next year when she really will get excited about it all.

Tonight we baked some cookies and brownies to take to Grandma Marcia's house for Easter Brunch. Also we had a little fun coloring Easter eggs!
Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

Medina, Texas

A couple of weeks ago we went to visit our great friends in Medina, Texas for Colin's 1st Birthday. We had a great time even though Audrey was feeling a little sick. We had just gotten over her fever and had a little cough and a runny nose. It was a really cold and rainy weekend, but we managed to have some fun.

Here is Colin and Audrey! He's such a cutie!

Colin let Audrey borrow his entertainer, but decided that he wanted to play with it too.
Saturday we made the trip into San Antonio and went to the Zoo. Audrey is a little too young to enjoy everything, but Colin really loved it!

Iva, Randy and Birthday Boy Colin!
Proud Aggie dads (they really planned to be Twinkies!)

Thank you Randy and Iva for having us. Thank you Colin for being such a heavy sleeper since our little munchkin was screaming all night. It was great seeing y'all...we wish we could more often!

This & That

Here is a little of this and that from our Thursday...
Audrey is eating her cereal twice a day once in the morning and then again with her last feeding before bed. She loves it! She sits there waiting for it with her mouth open, but lately she has been trying to talk when she eats so her little tongue pushes it all out. It's too cute!

We had some tummy time! She is now rolling from her back to her stomach all the time. She even did a full barrel roll!

Okay, so this is the little munchkin "sitting up." She can stay like this for about 10-15 seconds. Today she sat straight up and then threw both of her arms up and held it for about 2 seconds before she lost her balance and almost face planted into her blanket.

We went on our walk yesterday afternoon and here she is enjoying this beautiful 70 degree spring weather! (I was going to take the jogging stroller but we had up to 40mph gusts yesterday so this stroller shielded her a little better!)
