4 Months Old!

("I'm 4 months old!")

I can't believe my little munchkin is 4 months old! She is quite a character lately, she smiles all the time and loves to watch her Baby Einstein DVD's. She is so attentive! Just this past week she has started to grab whatever you put in front of her and then it goes straight to her mouth. I think she is starting to teethe. Lots of fun! Last night we went out to eat with some good friends, Robert, Kim and their kids Ivy and Robbie, we had a good time until Audrey had her first fit in a restaurant. Granted, we got there early and waited with the crowd to be seated. She slept through most of that, but as soon as our food got there she woke up screaming. I've heard that this will not be the last time this happens. Luckily we were at Lupe Tortilla, so it was loud enough that I didn't feel like we were going to get kicked out of the restaurant. She had sort of a bad day yesterday too. She wanted to eat every 2 hours and refused to take naps. (I think we might be on that same schedule today...Oh no!)
Here are some pictures from the past week or so....

Wearing a HUGE flower! I always said that I was not going to be one of "those" mothers that makes their daughter where huge bows or flowers...but now I realize that it's way too cute not to!
We put together her Entertainer a couple weeks ago. Everyday she stays a little longer in it...now she loves it. She makes a full 360 a couple of times and plays with all the toys. I think sometimes she over does it in it....I mean one minute she is happy and talking and the next she is yelling for me to get her out of there. By this time, she is so overtired that she can't fall asleep. I need to pull her out of there before we get to that point, but it's hard when she seems like she is having so much fun.

Last Friday Allyson and Abby came over for a play date. It was so much fun...I just wish Allyson didn't work so we could do it more often. We hung out at the house for awhile and then went to the park and enjoyed the beautiful weather. That evening our husbands met us out for dinner. I was really a nice day!

Also, last weekend we made the short drive up to College Station to celebrate two of our good friends, Lauren and Emily's Birthday. It was a great party on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Audrey was the only baby there...but she was so well behaved everyone kept complimenting on what a good baby she was. I don't think she cried once all day or night! Here she is in her "Little Aggie" onsie...to commemorate her first trip to Aggieland!

This past Wednesday we had our session with the Photographers for Audrey's pictures. We had to reschedule it because the week before Audrey was a little tired. (That's Mommy's fault!) I planned the appointment during her nap time so that it might be a little more convenient for Bryan to make it to. Well, lets just say the baby always wins. So this past Wednesday we scheduled it according to her schedule (like it should have been) and she did great! It took her some time and an extra bottle to warm up to give us some smiles. Like I said she smiles all the time, but not when the camera is in plain view. She freezes! After some little tricks we got her smiling and finished the session! They said we got some really cute ones!

(I thought I would throw this picture in here, this is how Audrey eats her hand...upside down! She is always sucking on her ring finger or that little pinky...just like Dr. Evil! Hmmmm!)

She has her 4 month check-up and shots this Tuesday. I will post her weight, height and how she did after the appointment.

Happy Valentines Day!

Here are some pictures from our Valentines Day.

(At home...getting ready for the day)
We made a quick stop by my mom's house to see my Nonni, and to just visit. I left my camera in my car, so no pictures...but it was nice visit. After there we went to Bryan's mom's house where Audrey spent some time with Grandma Marcia and Aunt Arianne. Here are some pictures.

Bryan sent flowers to me and Audrey that were delivered on Friday. The tulips were for me (my favorite flower) and the little rose bush and teddy bear were for Audrey. Every year Bryan and I make reservations at this little hole in the wall Italian restaurant by our house. We don't eat there any other day of the year, just on Valentines Day. The food isn't even that great, but after a bottle of wine, no wait, and a candle light dinner...it's really romantic. Well this year we decided to something a little different. We picked up Italian food from The Olive Garden and had our own romantic evening at home...with Audrey. It was really nice, and we avoided the thunderstorms that blew through too! (I know...I didn't iron the table cloth, I was going to, but ran out of time!)

Pictures and More Pictures!

Audrey is doing great...she is growing like crazy! I look at her when someone else is holding her and I can't believe she is the same baby! A couple of new things this past week is we officially stopped swaddling her at night. I tried doing it for as long as I could, but every blanket I could find was too small. I was really afraid that once we stopped swaddling that she wasn't going to sleep through the night, but I was wrong...she is still sleeping 7 to 8 hours straight. I'm still not comfortable with the idea of loose blankets around her so she is now sleeping in one of those zip up sleep sacks. They work great! Also, we have moved on from the Soothie paci to a cuter (in my opinion) paci. I thought I had a picture of her with it, but she really only uses it when she is tired. I'll post one next week. In the meantime here are some pictures from the past week or so.

(Tummy Time!)

Okay, so I posted a couple weeks ago that Audrey had turned over and she did that day, three times in a row. Boom, boom, boom! Since then I put her on her belly all the time with my camera and camcorder within reach to hopefully catch her rolling. Well, she has not rolled since. If it had not happened three times I might have thought that I had imagined it. Here's a picture of her teasing me. She got so close to doing it... I got this picture and then picked up the camcorder, but she never made the full roll. Oh well, I guess she'll do it again when she's ready!

(Rolling, rolling...not rolling!)

Okay now let me explain the next picture...this is a picture that Bryan just had to take. We were eating at our neighborhood Mexican restaurant Saturday night and I had just finished feeding Audrey so I was burping her, well she was just mesmerized by the pretty green beer bottle. She does look really cute in deep concentration!
