New Tricks

First Word: She says "HI" and waves. She babbles a lot, and in all that babbling I hear: Mama, Dada, I Love You, All Done, and I See You, but maybe I'm the only one that hears them. "HI" is loud and clear with purpose.

When I sign and say 'eat' to her she crawls to the foot of her high chair and waits for me to come and get her to put her in it. (She is The Food Monster!)

When you tell her 'Indian' she takes the back of her right hand and hits it against her mouth as she makes the Indian sound.

She signs 'All Done' when she is done eating.

When Bryan starts running the water for her bath she crawls across the house to go and take her bath.

When it's time to sleep we can now just go and put her in her bed and she lies down and goes to sleep. (most of the time!)
-
She sings along to all music and if it's really good she dances!
-
She gives the biggest hugs (and kisses)!

10 Months Old!!!

It's so hard to believe...another month has flown by, and our little munchkin is 10 months old today. It has been an amazing month and she does something new and exciting everyday. This is such a fun age! I think back to all the milestones, like smiling, (I used to work so hard to get one smile out of her a day, and now she smiles hundreds of times a day!) Rolling over (I have so many videos of her lying on her stomach with me just waiting to capture the roll on video, now I have to practically tackle her to change her diaper to keep her from rolling over!) Sitting up (we were so excited to see her sit up on her own without toppling over, now I wish she would just sit still for a couple seconds!) It's crazy how so much has changed, and I know we have so many changes ahead of us...it's so much fun to see her grow and learn.

We are so in love with you Audrey and you truly are the light in our lives!

Triple the fun playdate

We had a great playdate today with the Iglesias triplets, Andrew, Ava and Mia. They are so precious and Susan does such a good job with three almost 10month olds. (I can't imagine all the work!) Susan and I became great friends in high school when we used to play volleyball together...gosh that was ages ago!!! Anyway, her trio is a couple weeks younger than Audrey, so we have been meaning to get them together for a while now. It was so much fun seeing the three of them interact with each other. Audrey did pretty good considering it could have been pretty overwhelming (although she is around lots of babies at Gymboree and at church in the nursery), and it was during the time that we are now trying to drop a nursing feeding. (I'm starting to try to start to ween her...key word "try".) Audrey and I really enjoyed it and can't wait to do it again soon! Thank you Susan!

(Meeting for the first time)
(Too cute...snack time!)

(The girls)

(Audrey and Ava (who is always smiling!)

(Audrey and Andrew "sharing")

(A very serious Mia and Audrey)

(Audrey found the mommy duck like the one Grandma Marcia has...she was so happy!)

(Mia kept climbing on me...I think Audrey got a little jealous a couple times)
(All of us. We wanted to take a couple of these, but this was it because screaming broke out right after we got this one! Pretty good for 4 babies!)

Sunny Day, Sweepin' the Clouds Away...

Sunny Day,
Sweepin' the clouds away,
On my way to where the air is sweet,
Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street...

Audrey hears this song and stops what she is doing looks toward the TV and puts her arms in the air and opens and closes her hands as she "sings" along. She then gets as close as she can to all her favorite characters by crawling to the TV and eventually pulling up in front of it. (When she thinks I'm not watching!) Usually all I have to say is "No-No, come see Mommy" and she looks at me and comes back to me. Occasionally I have to and get her and really tell her "NO-NO." She loves her Sesame Street!

Garage Sale Fun!

My sister, Lara, decided to have a garage sale last Friday and Saturday before she headed back to college this week. She had tons of stuff and asked if I could help her with it, so I figured I might as well clean out my closet and unused stuff in our house and sell it too. It was three hard days of work but in the end we sold over $2400 worth of stuff! Audrey was out there the whole day Friday so she got to experience her first garage sale!

(Trying to keep cool hanging out in her jumper right in front of the fan!)

(Aunt Lara avoiding the camera!)

(Mommy and Me)

(Sleeping on the job!)
(Trying on an old hat that we were trying to sell!)
(Reading the paper with Pappo and relaxing after a hard days work!)

Oklahoma Visit!

We took a quick drive up to Oklahoma a couple weekends ago to visit family that has not seen Audrey since she was 3 weeks old...and we all know how much she has changed since then! We stayed with Poppy and Mimi at their house and spent some time with Grandma Claudine, Aunt Jerry and Uncle William and also Aunt Denise. It was a long 8 hour drive with a 91/2 month old that just wants to get down and play all the time, but we slept a little, read books, sang songs and just about played with anything that would hold her attention for a couple minutes. I can't wait till we get Audrey's new car seat in a couple of months and she gets to face forward and watch DVD's...it should make traveling a lot better. Anyway, here are some pictures from the weekend.

(Poppy and Audrey outside looking at the ducks)

(The huge plastic turtle out by the pool that Audrey wanted to pet like a puppy)

(Audrey with Tony and Poppy at Twin Hills Golf Club for dinner)

(Visiting Grandma Claudine and going through her game basket)

(Playing with Grandma Claudine's card shuffler)

(Sitting with Uncle William and Aunt Jerry)
(Grandma's coasters are so much fun!!!)

(Taking a break with Aunt Denise)
(Looking up at Grandma Claudine)

(Waving bye-bye so Grandma could go to her church service)
(Dinner at Juniors Steak House)

Big Girl Bathtub!

Audrey has outgrown her little pink ducky bathtub and we finally found a solution to her slipping and bumping her head. I found these blue inflatable bumpers from One Step Ahead. It has suction cups around it so it sticks to the sides of the tub, and we just have a no-slip mat on the bottom. Her first bath in here she cried almost the whole time...I think she felt overwhelmed and not as protected, but now she roams the whole tub! We have to watch her pulling up on the bumpers, but so far it has been great. Here are some pictures of bath time and her little Mohawk that Daddy gave her.

Here she is flexing those muscles since Bryan lets her do pull-ups on the curtain rod after her bath!

The wind in my hair!

We went over to our friends house this past weekend and Audrey got to try out Robbie's (our friends two and half year old son) swing on his swing set. (I meant to get a picture of her and Robbie together, but it never happened...Robbie was one busy little boy!) She loved the swing and just kept making her funny face as the wind blew through her hair. I think we need to get her a swing!!!

Finally On All Fours!

Audrey has been crawling for over a month now, but she has been doing the inch-worm crawl where she more or less just lays on her belly and scoots her body across the floor. She has gotten really good at it and actually cruises around the house pretty fast...she would get up on all fours and decide where she wanted to go and then slide out to her belly and take off. Well this evening she got up as usual, but then decided to crawl across the room...YAY!!! I took video of her, but we are still having trouble converting the HD video to post on here, so here are some pictures.
