13 Months!

There is so much new that she is doing this month...I don't even know where to begin. I don't even think I can explain on here how much she knows. Here a couple things I could think of...
.
- Today she was wearing a "Ho Ho Ho!" t-shirt and I told her that Santa says "Ho Ho Ho!" like what's on her t-shirt...so she pointed to her t-shirt and then pointed at the dancing Santa on the table in our living room. She gets it...she really gets it!
.
- She has been nodding "yes" for months now (which I love!), but in the past week she has learned to nod "no". I don't know if I like her being able to tell me "no", but it sure is cute!
.
- She loves any clothing that has puppies on it. She gets so excited and shows everyone all day long.
.
- She "moo's" when she sees a cow in a book or on tv!
.
- When you ask her "how much do you love me? (or anything else)" she throws her arms abover her head to show "this much!" She is so full of LOVE!!!
.
- She hurries to her high chair when she knows that I fixing her food.
.
- She will point to her eyes and say "eyes", she also knows her ears, nose, mouth, tongue, teeth, toes, belly, t-shirt, pants, bow and shoes. (she doesn't say all of these, but when you say them she points to them!)
.
- When she is holding something and you say to "squeeze it hard" she grunts, turns red, and
scrunches up her nose as her body shakes as she squeezes it as hard as she can. It is the cutest thing!
.
- She knows how to get off the couch and come down the stairs "feet first"
.
- When she wakes up in the morning the first thing she does when I bring her out to the living room is look for her milk and cheerios. I ask her to share her cheerios with mommy and sometimes I'm lucky enough to get a soggy one that she fishes out of her mouth.
.
- When she gives you a hug, or if she is showing that you are "good" she pats you. She does this to her new car seat almost every time she gets in it. It's like she is saying, "Good New Seat!" "Good Mommy!" "Good Daddy!" It is so reassuring that she thinks you are "good".
.
- When she goes to the TV like she is not supposed to she turns around and looks at me and smiles, points her finger at me and shakes it. Yes, I made the mistake at getting after her like this for touching the TV. Now when she does it I have to try so hard not to laugh. I guess no more pointing my finger at her...she thinks it's funny!
.
Well that's all I can think of...the main thing is she understands everything and will go and get pretty much what I ask of her, except when she doesn't want to and now she just shakes her head "no" at me!
.
BTW- we are still not walking. She cruises around all the furniture and walks great behind her push car, or holding your hand, but as soon as you let go she goes down. I guess she is just not ready. She is so cautious and careful...I just don't think she wants to take the chance of what might happen if she lets go. Until then, we are enjoying what little freedom we still have before I am really chasing her all over the place!

Thanksgiving Festivities

Well the A&M vs. t.u. game was on Thanksgiving Day in Aggieland this year, so this is how we spent our Thanksgiving! It was a great tailgate, with all the traditional Thanksgiving fixings, and a great game where our Aggies fought hard to spoil t.u.'s national championship hopes. It ended in heartache for us Aggies (as usual), we were so close (within 3 points) before t.u. ran it back for a 95 yard touchdown. Oh...what it means to be an Aggie fan! At least we have The Spirit!

At the tailgate after we "Sawed the horns off"
On the way to College station getting her much needed nap in.

"Saw'em off"

Bryan frying one of the six turkeys that day...yum!

Audrey saying "hi" to everyone walking by the bus.

Daddy and Audrey
Walking to the game. Those mittens were like torture to Audrey...good thing we don't live up north!
The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band...which by the way wins every half time!
I promise it was an exciting game...Audrey just needs her mid game nap.

I was planning on leaving before the game ended to beat some of the traffic, but I just couldn't walk away. So the trip that usually takes a little over an hour home took 3 hours! We didn't get home till 2 am!
Friday we went over to my parents house for another turkey dinner, a more traditional Thanksgiving than in a parking lot. My mom fixed a lot of great food...just ask Audrey, she ate 3 plates full! It was so funny she would finish what was on her plate and then look to her left at at Bryan and grunt (meaning she wanted more). When that didn't work she picked up her empty plate and handed it to him. He fixed her some more, when she finished that, she looked to her right and did the same thing to me, I gave her a little more turkey and sweet potatoes. A little later she did it again to Bryan...we were all cracking up! This girl loves to eat, especially good Thanksgiving dinner. Can you blame her?

Fuzzy Chick for Halloween

We had an Aggie game on Halloween so here is our Fuzzy Little Chick and me as a Farmer at the tailgate.

Daddy, the 80's Guy (with a mullet), and Audrey. I tried to get him to dress as another farmer or another farm animal...but he refused.
